The Diwali Mela and Ravan Dahan is a social and cultural event where you will experience:

• A grand mela environment
• Ravan Dahan followed by fireworks
• Lots of games and fun activities for children and adults
• Food stalls by local restaurants and interested individuals
• Registration will begin on Wednesday, October 1st, 2025 from 7:00 p.m. and will close on Thursday October 9th, 2025 9:00 p.m. or prior to that based on the number of registrations (first come first serve)

Ravana Effigy Burning Sponsorship
The Hindu Temple of Tallahassee invites devotees to seize the opportunity to participate in the burning of Ravana's effigy, demonstrating your devotion to Lord Rama during the Diwali Mela on October 18th, 2025. HTT is opening an auction to bid for this auspicious, once-a-year event at the Diwali Mela site. Last year, over 800 people attended this event, and an even larger turnout is expected this year. Below are the details.

• The winner (individual/family/group) will have the honor of lighting the Ravana effigy.
• The winner will participate in a puja with the priest before the Ravana Dahan.
• Bidding starts at $1,116.00.
• If the winning bid exceeds $2,500, and if the winner is an individual or a family (not group) it will count toward their cumulative donation to HTT. Non-members will be eligible for:
  • 'HTT Life' membership for bids up to $4,999.
  • 'HTT Patron' membership for bids of $5,000 or more.
• If the winner is a group and each individual or family in the group’s contribution exceeds $2,500 then the amount will be counted toward their (the individual or family who contributed $2,500 or more) cumulative donation towards HTT.Non-members will be eligible for:
  • 'HTT Life' membership for bids up to $4,999.
  • 'HTT Patron' membership for bids of $5,000 or more.
• If the bid is below $2,500, the donation will be treated as a service and will not be cumulative, with no membership awarded.
• Interested devotees should arrive at the HTT stall by 6:50 PM. Bidding will take place from 7:00 PM to 7:20 PM. The winning bidder will join the priest for the puja and Ravana Dahan at 7:30 PM.

Tickets are available at Temple and from the HTT Governing Body members and at the event. No cash transactions at the stalls. ONLY tokens will be accepted at all stalls.

• Advance Purchase - $25 (20 tokens)
• At event - $15 (10 tokens)

Event entrance: A minimum of $15 donation is suggested for which 10 tokens will be provided to spend at the mela.
